A game theory‐based route planning approach for automated vehicle collection

چکیده

We consider a shared transportation system in an urban environment where human drivers collect vehicles that are no longer being used. Each driver, also called platoon leader, is charge of driving collected as to bring them back some given location (e.g., airport, railway station). Platoon allocation and route planning for picking up returning automated one the major issues systems need be addressed. In this article, we propose coalition game approach compute (1) unused minimal number platoons, (2) optimized tour each platoon, (3) minimum energy consumed all these vehicles. game, players parked vehicles, coalitions platoons formed. This player joins maximizes its payoff, converges stable solution. The quality solution obtained evaluated with regard three optimization criteria complexity measured by computation time required. Simulation experiments carried out various configurations. They show very efficient solve multiobjective problem considered, since it provides optimal less than second 300 collected, considerably outperforms other well-known approaches such particle swarm nondominated sorting genetic algorithm.

Cooperative aggregate production planning: a game theory approach

Production costs in general, and workforce and inventory costs in particular, constitute a large fraction of the operating costs of many manufacturing plants. We introduce cooperative aggregate production planning as a way to decrease these costs. That is, when production planning of two or more facilities (plants) is integrated, they can interchange workforce and products inventory; thus, thei...

A Game Theoretic Approach for Sustainable Power Systems Planning in Transition

Intensified industrialization in developing countries has recently resulted in huge electric power demand growth; however, electricity generation in these countries is still heavily reliant on inefficient and traditional non-renewable technologies. In this paper, we develop an integrated game-theoretic model for effective power systems planning thorough balancing between supply and demand for e...

A Natural Induction Approach to Traffic Prediction for Autonomous Agent-based Vehicle Route Planning

This paper describes a methodology and initial results of predicting traffic by autonomous agents within a vehicle route planning system. The predictions of the traffic are made using AQ21, a natural induction system that learns and applies attributional rules. The presented methodology is implemented and experimentally evaluated within the multiagent-based simulation system PlaSMA. Results obt...

Speed-Consumption Tradeoff for Electric Vehicle Route Planning

We study the problem of computing routes for electric vehicles (EVs) in road networks. Since their battery capacity is limited, and consumed energy per distance increases with velocity, driving the fastest route is often not desirable and may even be infeasible. On the other hand, the energy-optimal route may be too conservative in that it contains unnecessary detours or simply takes too long. ...

Route planning for vehicle autonomous navigation, based on geometrical regions. Part II: Multiple approach points

−− This paper presents an algorithm to generate approach waypoints in autonomous mobile navigation, in order to take a vehicle to a target point, arriving to it with a specified entry angle. Here, we present an improved technique in the approximation phase for the route planner presented in Part I. This algorithm can be added to the one presented in the Part I to have a solid technique to addre...
